Building breathtaking, hyper-realistic custom scenery for X-Plane has historically been a grueling, months-long endeavor. Juggling raw elevation data, stitching orthophotos, hand-modeling historical landmarks, and placing thousands of regional autogen structures usually demands an army of developers and endless script tweaking.

With World Builder ONE, we rewrote the rules.

Using our native AI agent workflow and integrated development environment, we built a complete, highly detailed VFR scenery package of the Maltese archipelago, spanning Malta, Gozo, and Comino—in just a couple of days. Every iconic historical monument, fortification, and landmark was generated, verified, and compiled with unprecedented precision.

The Landmarks

Using the AI assistant integrated directly into World Builder ONE’s pipeline, the scenery captured the unique architectural heritage of the Maltese islands down to the finest detail. Rather than wrestling with external 3D software for every single POI, the AI handled the heavy lifting of structural synthesis while retaining exact real-world geospatial coordinates.

Featured historical and modern landmarks automatically generated and integrated into the Malta VFR pack include:

  • Ġgantija & Cittadella (Gozo)
Ancient megalithic structures and medieval bastions meticulously mapped and textured.
  • The Grand Harbour Fortifications
Fort St. Angelo, Fort St. Elmo, and Fort Ricasoli, capturing centuries of military architecture.
  • Mosta Rotunda
Accurately representing one of the world’s largest unsupported church domes.
  • Gardens & Palaces
Upper and Lower Barrakka Gardens overlooking Valletta’s stunning harbors.
  • Modern Skyline Icons
Mercury Tower and Portomaso defining the contemporary St. Julian’s coastline.
  • Landmark Beacons
The Red Tower (St. Agatha’s Tower), Fort Chambray, Manoel Island, The Three Cities (Birgu, Senglea and Cospicua).

Agentic Automation & Workflow

How was an entire nation built in days instead of months? By leveraging World Builder ONE as a native Model Context Protocol (MCP) server alongside advanced LLM agents:

  1. Task-Driven Spatial Prompts: Instead of manual object placement, agents were assigned specific geographic sectors and landmark targets to generate textures, 3D meshes, and footprint rules automatically.
  2. Seamless Airport Isolation: By utilizing automatic exclusion zones around Malta International Airport (LMML), the custom VFR scenery blends seamlessly with default or third-party airport packs without geometry clipping or terrain seams.
  3. Instant Iteration & Telemetry: Live camera syncing allowed us to verify placements directly inside a running X-Plane simulation session with a simple keystroke.

Availability & Public Release

In sync with the official release of World Builder ONE, the complete Malta VFR scenery package will be made available to the general public.

Whether you want to experience the Maltese archipelago from the cockpit or explore the underlying scenery architecture, the full VFR package will be accessible right alongside the platform launch.

Stay tuned to the community channels for updates on availability as we approach our release window this fall!
